Terms of service
Short, because there is no account, no subscription and nothing stored on our side.
Last updated: September 2026 · Applies to SplashCut
1. What SplashCut is
A browser-based video editor. It runs on your device: the timeline, the renderer, the export engine and the FFmpeg build all execute in your browser. We do not operate media processing servers, and your files are not transmitted to us.
2. Your content stays yours
You own everything you import and everything you export. We claim no licence over it, because we never receive it. If you choose to save to Google Drive or publish a share link, that copy lives in your own Google account under Google’s terms.
3. Your responsibilities
- Only edit media you have the right to use.
- Keep your own backups: browser storage can be cleared by the browser, and clearing site data removes local projects.
- Do not use the app to create or distribute unlawful material.
- If you publish a share link, remember that anyone holding it can open that project — do not share links to private footage.
4. Third-party services
Stock media search, sign-in, Drive sync, speech recognition and the engine download rely on third parties listed in the privacy policy. Their availability and their terms are outside our control, and a feature that depends on them can fail independently of the editor itself.
5. Availability and warranty
SplashCut is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Export quality and format support depend on your browser’s capabilities. We are not liable for lost projects, lost media, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top of the page reflects the current version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
